Common mistakes

Forgetting the CSS: each library needs its own CSS. This tool includes the <link> tags in the output.
Slides per view with fade: fade assumes a single slide. The tool locks slides per view to 1 when fade is selected.
Choosing Slick: it depends on jQuery and is unmaintained. For new work, Swiper or Splide is safer.

Should I choose Swiper, Splide or Slick?

For new projects choose Swiper or Splide. Slick requires jQuery and is no longer maintained, so it is not recommended for new work.

Can I use my own images?

Yes. Replace the sample image (Unsplash) URLs in the generated code with your own image paths.

Does it support fade (cross-fade)?

Yes. Select the Fade effect and the generator outputs the fade configuration for each library. Slides per view is locked to 1 for fade.

What is the difference between a carousel and a slider?

They mean essentially the same thing. A UI that shows multiple images or items side by side and lets you cycle through them is called a carousel or a slider. This tool generates the same code either way.

Can I build a slider with thumbnails?

Yes. Turn on “Thumbnail gallery” to generate a main slider synced with a thumbnail strip (Swiper thumbs, Splide sync, Slick asNavFor).

Does it support coverflow or infinite scroll?

Yes. With Swiper you can use coverflow, cube, flip and cards 3D effects, and all three libraries support an infinite scroll (marquee) effect.
